So lots of us love music and are always on the lookout for new stuff. This community (and especially Justin) has been wonderful as far as introducing me to new music goes, so let's keep that trend going. If anyone has any music recommendations, post 'em here. Please post at least one link to each recommendation, if you can.
My first recommendation is Glocca Morra. They're an emo/indie-rock band from Philly who has found some success with their only studio album thus far, Just Married, an album I just can't stop listening to. Catchy, emotional, twinkly (emo buzzwords coming through), and energetic, it's one of my favorite emo releases of the last few years. Their bandcamp has several EPs as well, ones I've not yet got around to listening to, but this album alone is really enough for me.

My next recommendation is the band Why? (or WHY?). An indie rock/hip-hop fusion band who, as they say, "who fiddle with skins, strings, bells and microphones and present their findings to the listening public". Their music combines aspect of rap, lo-fi rock, experimental, psychedelic, and folk music to create an often sullen, but always interesting and original set of tunes. Their album Alopecia is easily one of the most underrated albums of the 00's.

My last recommendation today is a band called Say Hi to Your Mom, nowadays known as Say Hi. They're a lo-fi rock/pop outfit from Seattle that is headed up by frontman Eric Elbogen, who plays the majority of the instruments and records it all in his own home. This band makes catchy, often synth-heavy, almost shoegaze inspired pop rock, like what LCD Soundsystem would have been as a garage band. They also have a concept album, Impeccable Blahs, which is entirely about vampires, so fuck yeah. https://soundcloud.com/sayhi

I would strongly suggest giving Machine Gun Kelly a listen. He's a rap artist from Cleveland, Ohio and my god, I've never heard lyrics with so much meaning behind them for years! He recently did a track called Save Me with Sinister Gates & M. Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold and its one of the deepest tracks I've heard.
Another band I would suggest are a small local band from the area I live in called Create To Inspire. Fresh, new material and solid performances both live and recorded. Currently in the studio recording a new album! Would strongly suggest giving them a listen.
The last band I recommend is a band called "Shadows Chasing Ghosts". Although now disbanded, their material is ridiculous! I've saw these guys live about 5 times and they never failed to amaze me! Trey Tremaine (Lead Singer) is currently in a studio recording his own personal album

For the average thinking man. This band considered themselves "thinking man's metal." or "post-metal" but whatever it is, it's fucking awesome. Definitely recommended for those who are fans of Tool and Palms.
